The Northern Beaches Hospital road upgrade, which began in October 2018, is aimed at easing traffic and providing a better commuting experience for the public once it is completed. Currently, the project is on its second stage, which involves network enhancements and upgrades to Warringah Road, such as:

This roadwork project is expected to be finished in 2020. As traffic conditions will not be normalised until this is completed, residents are advised to find alternative routes or plan their travel time ahead.
