The breastfeeding class at Northern Beaches Hospital runs on selected Tuesday evenings through to late November 2026, offering expectant parents in Frenchs Forest and the surrounding area a practical, supportive space to prepare for one of early parenthood’s biggest milestones.
Held on Level 4 of the hospital at 105 Frenchs Forest Road West, the sessions are led by experienced lactation consultants and cover the fundamentals — from getting a good latch to understanding how milk production works, and recognising when something might need attention. The format is deliberately interactive, with plenty of room for questions and group discussion, making it just as useful for first-time parents as it is for those who’ve been through it before and want to do things differently this time around.
At $50 per couple, the class is a one-off session rather than an ongoing commitment, which makes it easier to fit around busy schedules in the final weeks of pregnancy.
